A fire scientist with a background as a wildland firefighter, I recently completed my doctorate at U.C. Berkeley and currently work for the Forest Service as a Natural Resources Specialist under a Presidential Management Fellowship.

With experience both in structural and wildland fire and hazard planning as a Smokejumper, I'm interested in investigating how to protect communities and the environment from catastrophic wildfire through collaborative planning.
